Long distance road racing isn't on my todo list, so I wanted a motorcycle style crash hat. Found a neat looking black white "Nutcase" URS011L at REI, and after 10 or so outings am very happy with it. Much lighter than it looks, lots of vents, and once "customized" for my 73/8 head fits just right. 3 different thickness velcro pad "sets" included. Very cool magnetic slide chin snap stays secure, and yet is simple to release. The helmet gives me a degree of survival optimism, as more than half of my rides are in the crowded city.
